The TORUSMILL® SKV5-EX vacuum basket mill is equipped with a powerful vacuum system. The vacuum system is suitable for fine milling high viscosity products under vacuum. This prevents air inclusions during production. The TORUSMILL® SKV5-EX are high‒efficient immersion mills with which excellent grinding results can be achieved in very short time. The TORUSMILL® SKV5-EX basket mill is available from 30 kW up to 45 kW motor power for processing low and medium viscosity products. The clamping device of the TORUSMILL® SKV5-EX immersion mill is suitable for container sizes up to 1250 liters. The effective circulation of the mill base through the grinding basket is achieved through an integrated, patented pump wheel. This provides a high number of passes, and a narrow particle size. The dissolver disc mounted below the milling basket ensures a milling of the millbase within the milling container with minimal dead volumes.

The stable cover of the TORUSMILL® SKV5-EX immersion mill enables easy height adjustment of the shaft even during the fine grinding process. The cover rests securely on the container edge during the grinding process. The height of the grinding basket can also be adjusted under vacuum. The cover is equipped with a product feed system as a standard. Various options, such as LED lighting, a PT100 temperature sensor, a Liquiphant level switch (also in ATEX), or sight glasses and various filling funnels are available for the container cover.

C technology

Glass panel
High-quality glass front with a large colour display and an integrated, solvent-resistant, backlit membrane keypad.
Colour display
Extra-large colour display with indication of speed, torque, power input, product temperature, timer, peripheral speed, height of dispersing tool, status bar with safety indicators, working heights, operating modes, etc.
Timer
Timer function with display of the pre‒selected time as well as the elapsed time. Timer‒controlled switch over to second speed.

PLC technology

The DISPERMAT® and TORUSMILL® dissolvers, bead mills and basket mills can also be fitted with the PLC-control. The graphic display allows for an indication of the operational parameters such as speed, power output, peripheral speed of the milling tool, torque and product temperature. The combination of a graphic display and the standardized PLC-control allows for an extension as well as for an adaptation of the control system to further process control applications at any time.
