Ceramic pigments

Ceramic pigments are used to refine the surface of ceramic products. Pigments are mostly of inorganic origin; they consist of metal borates, silicates, aluminates and oxides. While the production of technical ceramics depends on a porous base material with the most perfect possible cubic structure, ceramic pigments are rather associated with surface refinement. This process forms a sealed and glassy surface layer.

With the DISPERMAT®, VMA-Getzmann offers an abrasion-resistant wet grinding technique for ceramic pigments to obtain a surface which is as smooth as possible, free of defects and color intensive.
